<p style="margin-bottom: 0in;" lang="en-US">
<p style="margin-bottom: 0in;"><span style="font-family: Trebuchet MS;"><span lang="en-US">Enfield  Uniting Church is ‘home’ to a large, loving group of children – who are  learning fast and growing into a Christian community for the future.  Currently, the group includes children and teenagers  (aged 0 – 16+)  from Sudanese, Australian, Greek and Fijian backgrounds. They  participate in a range of activities –e.g. regular classes with stories,  craft, discussion, computer access, singing, games of soccer and  morning tea. KUCA Campout, barbeques, other outings and occasionally, a  family camp, are also part of the EKOS program.</span></span></p>
<p style="margin-bottom: 0in;" lang="en-US">
<p style="margin-bottom: 0in;"><span style="font-family: Trebuchet MS;"><span lang="en-US">We meet from</span></span><span style="font-family: Trebuchet MS;"><span lang="en-US"> 9.30 am – 11.15 am every Sunday during school terms. Most families  travel by bus (Northern Minibuses) provided by the EUC community. </span></span></p>

<p style="margin-bottom: 0in;"><span style="font-family: Trebuchet MS;"><span lang="en-US">Enfield Uniting Church continues to support the ‘Serving the Poor Foundation Organization’ which works among some of ‘the poorest of the poor’ communities in Cambodia. </span></span></p>
<p style="margin-bottom: 0in;" lang="en-US">
<p style="margin-bottom: 0in;"><span style="font-family: Trebuchet MS;"><span lang="en-US">The founder and director of SPFO is</span></span><span style="font-family: Trebuchet MS;"><span lang="en-US"> Mrs Chheng Sophoap (Poppy), a member at Enfield Uniting Church. Poppy spends up to six months of each year in Cambodia, reviewing on-going programs, supporting and training members of the Organization and initiating new ventures. </span></span></p>

<p style="margin-bottom: 0in;"><span style="font-family: Trebuchet MS;"><span lang="en-US">P</span></span><span style="font-family: Trebuchet MS;"><span lang="en-US">oppy has described SPFO’s priorities this year as: </span></span></p>
<p style="margin-bottom: 0in;" lang="en-US">
<h1 style="margin-bottom: 0in;" lang="en-US"><strong><span style="font-family: Trebuchet MS;"><span style="font-size: medium;">the Mobile Medical Clinic: </span></span></strong></h1>
<p style="margin-bottom: 0in;" lang="en-US">
<p style="margin-bottom: 0in;" lang="en-US"><span style="font-family: Trebuchet MS;">the team of volunteer doctors, support staff and drivers continue regular visits to a number of remote villages. Enfield Uniting Church sends regular payments so that Poppy and her team can purchase medicines in Phnom Penh then dispense them – often treating 200-300 people each visit.</span></p>
<p style="margin-bottom: 0in;" lang="en-US">
<h1 style="margin-bottom: 0in;" lang="en-US"><strong><span style="font-family: Trebuchet MS;"><span style="font-size: medium;">building Christian communities: </span></span></strong></h1>
<p style="margin-bottom: 0in;" lang="en-US">
<p style="margin-bottom: 0in;" lang="en-US"><span style="font-family: Trebuchet MS;">the SPFO team assists small churches in villages where the Clinic visits. At the Lord’s Garden in Kompot province, a House Church is developing, with four new leaders and a ministry among children.  One of these leaders, Mr Sowath Heng, is planning to return to Australia with Poppy in October 2010 for a period of training in church leadership. </span></p>
<p style="margin-bottom: 0in;" lang="en-US">
<h1 style="margin-bottom: 0in;" lang="en-US"><strong><span style="font-family: Trebuchet MS;"><span style="font-size: medium;">educational support for children:</span></span></strong></h1>
<p style="margin-bottom: 0in;" lang="en-US">
<p style="margin-bottom: 0in;" lang="en-US"><span style="font-family: Trebuchet MS;">donors associated with EUC are supporting four children with uniforms, fees and equipment for school. Some have raised money through concerts, others make regular gifts.</span></p>
<p style="margin-bottom: 0in;" lang="en-US">
<h1 style="margin-bottom: 0in;" lang="en-US"><strong><span style="font-family: Trebuchet MS;"><span style="font-size: medium;">community development:</span></span></strong></h1>
<ul>
<li><span style="font-family: Trebuchet MS;">the Cow Bank (with new calves being born)</span></li>
</ul>
<ul>
<li><span style="font-family: Trebuchet MS;">the Rice Bank - now at the heart of a 	self-sustaining community</span></li>
</ul>
<ul>
<li><span style="font-family: Trebuchet MS;">the fruit trees and crops at the Lord’s 	Garden continue to mature</span></li>
</ul>
<ul>
<li><span style="font-family: Trebuchet MS;">plans for relocating a slum-based 	riverside community continue to develop</span></li>
</ul>
<ul>
<li><span style="font-family: Trebuchet MS;">HIV-AIDS clinics continue</span></li>
</ul>
<ul>
<li><span style="font-family: Trebuchet MS;">educating communities about physical and 	mental health – an important part of the Mobile Clinic’s visits</span></li>
